Grey's Episode 6

This week’s episode was the conclusion to the three-part event on Grey’s Anatomy. Meredith dies and goes to heaven where she comes face to face with people that had died in her life. They all join together to ask her why she purposely drowned, but she could not get herself to admit to them that she killed herself. She kept telling them that she couldn’t swim because the water was too cold, but they all knew what really happened. Once she finally admitted what she did, she realized that she made a terrible mistake and that she needed to be with all the people that she loved. She then saw her mom in heaven and realized that she had died too. Meredith’s mom apologized for yelling at her for not being good enough. She told Meredith that she was anything but ordinary and that it wasn’t her time to die yet. Meredith then regains a heartbeat and comes back to life. The fact that Meredith dies and comes back to life proves that television drama does not represent reality. The basis of the show is realistic, in the aspect of having doctors saving people’s lives, but when they show things like that it proves that they bend reality in the best interest of the show. They obviously weren’t going to kill off Meredith, because she’s one of the main characters.
